Spice up your next sandwich by adding a little Sriracha and BBQ rub to a quick homemade sauce. Top it off with bacon and a pretzel bun and you’ve just won dinner.
Beer Battered, American, Burgers and Sandwiches, Family Meals
1 (11-ounce) package Beer Battered Cod
½ cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons Sriracha or other hot sauce
½ teaspoon BBQ rub (can substitute chili powder, taco seasoning, or Cajun seasoning)
4 pretzel roll buns, toasted (can substitute any sweet soft bun)
4 strips bacon, fully cooked, crispy, and cut in half
4 slices tomato
4 lettuce leaves
Preheat oven to 425ºF. Prepare Beer Battered Cod according to package directions. While cod is baking, make sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, hot sauce, and BBQ rub. To serve, spread an ample amount of sauce on the bottom buns, top each with cod, 2 half slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and top buns. Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side.
