Recipe Description

SeaPak Tempura Shrimp rivals the best Japanese takeout, and this Witch’s Fingers recipe turns them into a spooky Halloween supper.

Calling this a “recipe” is a bit of a stretch; there’s no real mixing, measuring, or cooking involved. As the shrimp bakes, cut a fresh red pepper into thin strips on one end and pointy at the other. Once the shrimp are golden and crispy, slide the pepper gently into each shrimp to look like a creepy fingernail. That’s it. No red peppers on hand? Green peppers would also work and would look especially witchy. Serve your Witch’s Fingers with our sweet and spicy orange dipping sauce (it’s included with your Tempura Shrimp) in a small side dish to form the palm of the witch’s hand.

Delight your little ghouls and goblins with these Witch’s Fingers this Halloween season. If you’ve got a party coming over, you can double or triple this recipe easily.

Ingredients

Witch’s Fingers:

2 8.2-oz. packages SeaPak Tempura Shrimp

1 red bell pepper

1 package Sweet and Spicy Orange dipping sauce (included with Tempura Shrimp)

Directions

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Bake Tempura Shrimp for 12 to 14 minutes according to package instructions.

Cut top and bottom off bell pepper. Remove and discard seeds and membranes. Cut pepper into 1/2 inch strips, then cut strips into pieces approximately 1 inch long. At one end of the strips cut a point.

Cut the opposite end so that it tapers for easy insertion into the shrimp. When tempura shrimp are fully cooked, remove from the oven. Insert a pepper piece into each shrimp to look like a fingernail.

When serving, dip Witch’s Fingers into the Sweet and Spicy Orange dipping sauce.
